Internship Review

student speaking to crowdMuch of the responsibility for finding and applying for an internship or practicum falls upon your shoulders. Remember, as an undergraduate student, you are responsible to:

  • Locate and secure an appropriate internship/practicum site.
  • Meet all internship/practicum academic eligibility and prerequisite requirements.
  • Submit an internship/practicum proposal, including a resume, in the format required by your department to the internship/practicum faculty instructor.
  • Secure all necessary approvals before beginning the internship/practicum.
  • Establish all prerequisites and eligibility requirements for internship/practicum participation as set forth individually by the department or your major.  These requirements may include completion of a number of credits or specific course work, a GPA higher than the 2.0 minimum, or admission to the major.
