Your Internship Proposal

After you have identified a potential internship site, you will start the application process. 

To begin the application process, you’ll need to submit an Internship Proposal. You should verify any particular requirements set forth by your academic department regarding the format of your proposal. Check with your academic advisor for details.

Submitting your Internship Proposal

Obtain a copy of your job description on the company letterhead. The job description is  usually in the form of an outline or a synopsis that describes what your duties and responsibilities will be during your internship experience.

Submit an internship proposal in the format required by your department to your internship instructor. The proposal should include information about:

• How the internship will relate to your career goals
• What you hope to learn and gain from this experience
