About Internships

Student at BloomsburgAn academic internship is a supervised, planned, learning experience in a work environment, taken for academic credit.

Internships may vary in both duration and compensation.  While paid internships attract more applicants, other forms of compensation such stipends packaged with a quality work experience is another way to attract students for unpaid internships.

Some organizations can’t afford pay or stipends but the type of project and high-level of responsibility associated with the internship makes the internship attractive to students.
