Internship Process Overview - Steps

1. Talk with your faculty advisor, faculty instructor (the faculty member who will supervise your internship) or Department Internship Coordinator about your interest in doing an internship.
2. Go to our Current Internship Listings, listed by major, to find a company with which to do your internship. You may find a company on your own or by checking our links.
3. Check the active Affiliation Agreement list to make sure the organization in which you would like to do your internship has an Affiliation Agreement with Bloomsburg University. The list can be sorted by organization of by department.
4. If there is no Affiliation Agreement in place, tell your faculty advisor or department internship coordinator and she/he will initiate that process. You must provide the name of agency or company, address, on-site supervisor / contact person, title, email and phone. It could take anywhere from 8 to 12 weeks to schedule your internship if no Affiliation Agreement exists.
5. Complete Section 1 on your computer of the online 509 internship form. After typing in your information, print a copy of the form and bring to your academic advisor, faculty instructor or department internship coordinator.
